After Graduation Opportunities for Graduates of Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing
Employment Opportunities
Many exciting career opportunities are available to graduates of the cooperative program. After receiving licensure, the graudates are prepared to assume entry-level positions in nursing. Examples of entry-level positions include employment as a registered nurse in hospitals, clinics, home care agencies, extended and long term care facilities, hospices and pharmaceutical sales.
After further academic preparation and nursing experience, other fields such as Public Health, School Nurse, Educator, and Govermental agencies are open to our graduates.
RN-BSN Programs
Students are prepared and encouraged to continue their professional education for the baccalaureate (BSN) degree after graduation. Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing has articulation agreements with LaSalle, Widener, Drexel, and Thomas Jefferson Universities. Most universities/colleges have a limit on the number of transfer credits that will be accepted. The transferability of credit will depend on decisions of the BSN program evaluating the graduate's transcript. The university/college the graduate selects will determine the credit awarded for nursing courses.
