Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing
Student Support Services
Student Support Services are available to students enrolled
in the nursing program from both the School of Nursing and Camden
County College. These services include, but are not limited
to:
Child
Care
Child Care is available at Angel's Alley Child Care Center located
on the Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center campus (856-365-7961);
at the B.P.U.M. Child Development Center on the Blackwood campus
of Camden County College (856.227-6872); and in Camden City child
care is offered by the Rowan University of New Jersey to enrolled
students of Camden County College and Rowan University (856-756-5407.)
Educational
Accommodations
Students requesting accommodations under 504/ADA are required to
contact the Camden County College Program for the Academically Challenged
Student (PACS) at 856.227-7200 ext 4430.
Employee
Assistance Program
Services of the Employee Assistance Program are available to nursing
students through Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center.
English
as a Second Language (ESL) Program
A faculty developed and implemented program that assists students
for whom English is a second language to be successful in the nursing
program.
Financial
Aid
Financial Aid is available through the Department of Financial
Aid at Camden County College.(856-227-7200 ext.4985.)
Guidance
Program
The Guidance Program is available throughout the program to assist
the student to realize his/her personal and professional potential.
Health
Program
As required by New Jersey law all enrolled students must maintain
health insurance that provides basic hospitalization coverage. Students
must present verification of coverage at the beginning of each nursing
course. A low cost health and accident insurance policy can be purchased
by enrolled students at Camden County College (856-227-7200 ext.
4322.) The Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center Employee Health Program
makes preventative health measures available to the School of Nursing.
Parking
Free parking is available on the Medical Center campus (East Lot)
and at Camden County College to enrolled students with proper parking
decals.
Testing
Taking Strategies/Study Skills
Testing Taking Strategies/Study Skills support is provided throughout
the program using group and individual sessions conducted by the
faculty of the School of Nursing.
Tutoring
Tutoring for the nursing courses is available from the faculty
at the School of Nursing. Camden County College (Blackwood campus:
856-227-7200 ext. 4276; Camden campus: 856-968-1359) provides tutoring
services for non-nursing courses.
