Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing Statement of Transfer of Credit
Transfer of Credit to BSN Program
Most colleges have a limit on the number of transfer credits that will be accepted. In New Jersey usually no more than 64 community college credits are accepted for baccalaureate programs.
The transferability of credit will depend on the decisions of the baccalaureate nursing program evaluating the student's transcript. In general, if the principle of "full faith and credit" is used, the general education courses should be granted transfer credit. The credit for nursing courses will be determined by the college the student selects. Many colleges have challenge exams to assess course knowledge.
College programs differ in structure and policies. Prospective students should compare programs to find one that will fill their needs.
Currently, the School of Nursing has articulation agreements with several universities in the area.
